A Day In The Life of an Online Sales Counselor
I hope you enjoyed the Virtual Seminar yesterday on blogging. I had a lot fun teaching you the ABC's of how to create a blog and become a blogger.
For my first post, I want to cover the basics of what a day in the life of a typical Online Sales Counselor. Some of these things you might be doing already and others might make you stop and think.
Daily Tasks
1. Open inbox and review all the new eLeads that arrived overnight.
2. Open each eLead, review and set the priority level of the eLead as an A, B, or C
3. Respond to the “A” eLeads first with a phone call and personalized email response.
4. Respond to the “B” & “C” eLeads with a personalized email response.
5. Note activity on each eLead record.
6. Answer phone call inquiries and return phone calls from voicemail from the previous day.
7. Prepare brochures to mail to eLeads who requested brochure.
8. Correspond with eLeads as necessary.
9. Follow up on “to do” tasks due that day in the eLead management system such as follow up phone calls and emails.
Weekly Tasks
1. Monitor website for accuracy and functionality.
2. Monitor Internet marketing websites i.e. www.Move.com for accuracy and functionality.
Monthly Tasks
1. Run reports
1.1. Total number of eLeads received and responded to
1.2. Total number of outbound phone calls
1.3. Total number of inbound phone calls
1.4. Total number of appointments set
1.5. Total number of appointments kept
1.6. Total number of sales generated by the Online Sales Department
2. Review website activity reports
3. Review Internet marketing activity reports
4. Brainstorm new marketing ideas
5. Review email marketing campaign metrics
6. Database cleanup issues
